With the Willamette high and muddy, and the Columbia still months away from any hope of spring salmon, these large mainstem metro systems will go untapped this week. With the news of quick limits of sturgeon from the Bonneville and The Dalles Pools, coupled up with abrupt closures, anglers have...

With the Willamette out of shape, metro anglers are looking to the Sandy and Clackamas to cure their cabin fever. There are some sturgeon available, but with the flows high and the water colored, it’ll be a while before any desirable fishing takes place here. Meldrum Bar may boot out an early...

Hi all, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted much on my hometown body of water that I’ve always been so passionate about As noted several years ago, the reservoir became bank fishing only, as people refused to obey the no motor rules, and in addition, the city of Dallas purchased the land...

Fairly new to the area, and have been out to some area ponds lately. But was wondering about something closer to home here in McMinnville. Looking at the map, it seems like there might be access to the Yamhill at Joe Dancer Park. Has anyone tried fishing there before? I assume it isn't posted or...

I live in the tanasbourne area and have been walking by a section of this creek that looks like it could hold fish. Has anyone ever tried fishing this creek? Any info would be appreciated as it seems like it could be a fun way to kill a couple hours after work. Thanks

Hi! I’m in Portland. Have limited fishing experience. And zero experience in Oregon. I have a 6’6 medium Ugly GX2 and an empty Pfluger President 30 spinner. And I’m thinking Hagg might be a good place to get my feet wet. Not too terribly fussy about what kind of fish I catch for the moment. Most...

I live in the Eugene/Springfield area and have been trying to track down somewhere to go after Pumpkinseeds around here for years. I'm also interested in places to fish for other kinds of sunfish around here. Haven't been able to locate the bluegill in Delta Ponds since the "restoration" and the...

Tried to find the upper Abiqua again, but managed to find it right below Abiqua Falls. Saw three salmon/steelhead. I assume they were steelhead? I didn't know they made it all the way up to the falls. Two were in the pool at the base of the falls and one was in a pool a couple hundred yards...

Has anyone tried doing this? I've head you can get some decent bass and bluegill out of there. Where specifically on the locks do folks fish? Can you get to the actual Locks canal (green arrow) and is it productive or do you have to off of that dock by the red arrow?

Got a piece of paper on my windshield last weekend with a number for a new Sandy River Shuttle. Since Grant stopped doing this, has anyone used the new shuttle service? Or does anyone know the people who took it over? I’d love to start using it again but would like to know that others are...

I am going to be taking my son out bank fishing on Henry Hagg Lake tomorrow. Never been fishing on this lake and was hoping someone might have a map of good fishing spots that they would be willing to share? Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated!

I want to get my girlfriend into some fish pretty soon. And I'm a little broke so I dont think I'll be doing any driving to any of the rivers any time soon. A friend of mine told me I could get her some fish out of the pond. Any ideas or advice? Thanks.
