Anyone seen the silver running yet? Went looking for them on the Clack and the Sandy last weekend (relatively near the mouth on both) and didn't find any sign of them. Everyone I ran into came up dry too. Just wondering if anyone here has run into the coho yet.

Anybody been getting into some Steelies recently on the Sandy or the Clackamas? I’ve been out to both recently throughout the month and haven’t had any luck.

Hi All, I apologize if this is in the wrong place. I recently purchased a personal pontoon, and aim to start floating some local water. I've been swinging steelhead for years, and have spent a lot of time on water, so I understand some basics and big threats, etc. I've also float tubed lakes...

I started the morning off at Cedar Creek and there were 6 cars in the hatchery lot at 7:30. Water level looked good, at around 10.3 ft at the gauge and dropping but it was crystal clear. Nobody on the bank had caught anything by 10 AM, but a rafter floating by claimed to have caught one. I tried...

Hi Everybody Does anyone know what's up with this fishery? My friend went there a couple weeks ago and he said that it's closed. The picture says that it's accessible only by permit. So is this the end of fishing eagle creek without paying Weyerhaeuser? Here's the website for the...

This will be my first time targeting Steelhead. If I'm reading the regs correctly it looks like this area of the river is open for hatchery steelies. I've not been to Lazy Bend before but judging by the name of the campground and the way the river kind of curves past it I'm thinking this would...

I was going to head out this weekend and introduce my girlfriend to steelhead fishing. I haven't done much in the way of Springers around here and was trying to decide if the Sandy (heading in around Oxbow) or the Clack (heading in around Carver) would yield possible better results. If anyone...

Yesterday Hooked Up, Pinstriper and myself hit the Clack. We fished hard but only came up with one little shiner, we didn't feel to bad though as no one else got any either. Today I joined Tanner and a young man looking for his first Springer or Steelie. It rained much to our pleasure in...

Question about the Clackamas river level. Water level is supposed to raise 1 ft over night. Is that enough to blow the river out? I'm thinking of trying a new stretch of the river to me, lower Mciver to Barton in my DB. As always thanks for any help in advance.

Hey all, This is a question for the boat guys out there. I am going to put my boat in at Meldrum Bar tomorrow morning and fish the Willamette for a bit. My question is, has anyone or can you head up the Clackamas river from the Willamette for a ways without suffering prop or hull damage...

I went up to dog creek on saturday hoping to catch my first winter steel. the place was crowded, about 15 people fishing all around. Only saw 5 fish caught on bank, and three guys on a boat caught 7 or 8 . Didn't get any bites I think the fish got spooked with so many people. Should of fished...

Could not have asked for nicer weather to pursue the fish species everyone speaks of so highly, the elusive steelhead. The temperature was 50+, so no fear of iced over guides, and frostbitten fingers. The wind was moderate when present, and the skies ranged from blue to barely cloudy. A few...

I managed to leave behind roughly 20 jigs last night. They are all pre tied and wrapped around PVC pipe insulation in a zip lock freezer bag. I can't make it back there until about 4 tonight to see if they're still there. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Found some shades near 99w on the bank of the Clackamas. Looked like they went down river a bit. If you can identify in the next week I'll send em back. If not the first person to have guessed the brand (beginning now) will get them for free. I'll even pay the postage. Go!
