A good place to start would be to join the Association of Northwest Steelheaders -- you'll make plenty of fishing buddies there.

Hey Kardoctor. I am fairly new to OFF, and I would take you up on the offer except, I think the boat you are describing is going to be a bit much to fish for salmon on the Willamette. An offshore boat is usually a bit heavy and hard to control in the close quarter fishing you have to deal with in some of these areas. The Columbia is better, but in the areas that are fished, you may still have issues. If you want to hit the ocean for some good bottom fishing, I can help you out there, but only depoe bay or Newport. Not familiar with anything North.

Just want to thank you guys for stepping up and trying to help a guy
most forums are for information and finding a way for other people to enjoy the same things you enjoy There sometimes in life when you have an opportunity and just really don't know what your opportunity could lead to in the future When I'm out on the water in my brand-new boat I see fishermen out there in less than adequate boats and wondered to myself how can I help him
just looking for somebody to help me and give me a few pointers friendship and good times

I don't know about carp but I would love to do a little OFF shore fishing. I don't know a thing about it,but what the hey, a rod, line and hook it's all we need..........LOL

Me too. If you can handle your boat, and are OK trying stuff with other guys who are also trying to figure it out, I'm always looking for new fishing buddies that have a boat.

Please provide pictures of boat.
