Other than salmon eggs.... what else works effectively regularly? I heard yarn usually works only with steelhead mostly. What about jigs? Spinners? Spoons something else? Any help is always appriciated

I heard lings and cabezon are more active this time of year than any other... but what about surf perch? When are they most active? What about kelp greenling? Pac cods? if someone can give me a low down on the best fished marine species and times of year they are most active I would appriciate...

For salmon and steelhead try the sandy river... look up cedar creek fish hatchery in sandy oregon... lots of trails which lead to the river and there is a ton of fishing there my brother and I have caught everything from rainbows to brown trout to chinook and coho and jacks

And salmon slayer its ok to tell me I shouldn't go or it would be really stupid... I like a little bit crazy wind and rain don't bother me too much but I'm new to how oceans behave and when to fish them and when not to so its ok.... any more advice (I soak it up like a sponge :)
