Newport surf fishing report 4/7

we did alright at newport on 4/7. I got 2 doubles so that was awesome. they are noticeably getting bigger since this is their spawing season. we started fishing around 10:45 up till high tide. we were using gulp sandworms, size 2" on a #2 hook. I'm hoping to go to newport again on the week of the 18th, if anyone wants to join me that'd be cool. (it will be 4/20 or 4/21, not sure yet).

They are indeed, went to Seaside with wife and kid yesterday, fished the wrong tide and only for about 1 hour, landed a few. If tides were right I have a feeling it would have been fast and furious. Decent sized fish too. Definitely watch the ocean though, on outgoing tide it was hard to get into the breakers so easy to keep walking into the ocean, even though is shallow, current runs strong.
