Fly tying and patterns sharing thread

The wing and collar is badger hackle. This one is only a size 10 but can be tied on a #2. It's a baitfish pattern but I suppose they'd work on steelhead. This pattern works well at Olallie Lake.

Pretty sweet. Looks like a Royal Coachman tied for Steelhead.

Wait, Badgers have feathers? GMO?

From the pict I off handed assumed it was bigger. Now that I look and scale the materials.. I see.

I have a few patterns similar to that I'll show ya in 12's & 14's.

 That stuff is hard to get. You really need to sneak up on them with your scissors.

Nice work guys! Impressive to say the least. Maybe if I could get my camera figured out I would post a couple.

I use a Macro Zoom setting and plenty of light. Also I adjust the ISO to 200.

Nice flies gentlemen :)
I particularly like everett's "troutslayer", waiting for the tutorial.
Here are a couple:

UV Mckenzie Green Caddis (late april-june)
MckCaddis-339-800.jpg

A black EHC (the elk hair is actually darker) for caddis or little brown stones (like the size 12 here).
blackEHC169.jpg

and a March Brown wet fly, sort of classic style (wing is roadkill wild turkey secondary, body hare's ear with a pinch of tan UV Ice Dub.)
