    Day gone right!

We estimate that we caught over 250 fish in three days, but who is counting....oh yeah my cousin and I, it's always a competition b/t us. He won biggest fish, I won smallest and most caught, and he won most number of trash fish caught on a crawfish. Senkos were the winning bait, 4 inch...

    salmon 2011

Finally got to implement my new technique on salmon and steelhead fishing. Wait for somebody to leave their spot where they have not had any bites or seen anybody catch any fish and then stand where they were standing and nail a fish. At least that's how it worked tonight with this chinook...

    Steelies slowing but still good

i would have to say it's slower compared to about 4-6 days ago when the water was higher and the catch frequency on the bank where i was at was more consistent. yes, some people are still slaying them...just not this one.

    Steelies slowing but still good

It's a neat spot that i got turned onto this year. Lots of fish being caught. Go below the dam, follow the road through the hatchery until it turns into gravel until you see a lot of cars parked and go to the river. Lots of nice runs through there. Go past the hatchery, you actually drive...

    Steelies slowing but still good

I fished below Leb. Dam all week this week and was able to score this nice Prize. The fishing at the beginning of the week was amazing, the bite was strong and fast for many.....just not for me..I'm still working on putting "my time" into it as the experienced ones say. As the water levels...

    Spawn already!!!!!

i'm looking forward to horton or hult pond near triangle lake. I'm surprised to see how many people know about it. We've had 40+ fish days there per person later in the summer. It seemed like that lake went into spawn real late last year. I watched a monster try to swallow a turtle as it...

    Little Fall Creek fish ladder

you can get to the other side of the fish ladder if you have GPS or good knowing of the back forest roads. If you follow big fall creek above the lake into the fall creek area near where the burn was there is a national forest road that will take you over the mountain and spit you out just...

    When? Steelhead on the Siuslaw

That might not have been our pram. We were in a old santiam drifter, white, but sure if there is an open seat would be more than happy to bring you. I mainly bass fish so that would work out this summer

    When? Steelhead on the Siuslaw

1/26 siuslaw 1/26 siuslaw Fished all day with a friend of mine with almost avg water levels. The flow was still a little elevated but trending downward and water still churned with low visibility . Most boats seemed to boat one or two fish with multp hookups. Everyone who we spoke with...

    When? Steelhead on the Siuslaw

    When? Steelhead on the Siuslaw

    Any luck on the McKenzie?

I also went out earlier this week and drifted the intown route, water color was great but way to swift for my taste, couldn't even get my anchor to hold. We did catch a few trout on flies but no steelies.

    Slow on Odell

No algae yet, water was quite clear, launched at shelter cove. Had the wind stayed down after we finally figured things out I think we would have came out with a lot more. I through mine on the grill as soon as I got home, a great reward fro getting up at 245 am.
