This is my first steelhead season and I want to get back out fishing. When will the rivers become fishable again, or what time I should at least go out looking? Specifically eagle creek, clackamas, sandy, and nestucca area?

I was pulling 12-14" trout out of mciver all year. There were plenty of smolts to but lots of trout.

I was fishing about 3-4 weeks ago and I was catching dozens of trout in McIver and Barton parks on the clackamas, now I have completely skunked out twice this week and the last! There weren't even fish jumping. Is there something i am missing?
