    I think the problem you will run into will be that effectively float fishing Springers often requires the use of 3oz float set ups. That rod would have trouble casting that. It would be fine for drift fishing or throwing spinners.

    I would think the coos is pretty good, I see pics from a guide pulling limits every day from there.. Not sure what his secret is though. :(

    I'm sure you landed a big salmon on 10lb, but you weren't trolling with 6oz of lead and a flasher. Don't give advice for situations your not familiar with.

    20lb is to light for kings, I would recommend 30lb pline cxx.
