Nice video and that was a pretty bear too. I hope come Fall I can get my crosshairs on a nice Siletz black bear

You got some great footage of that first bear. Was that one a shooter? Cool video!

Shane-

First bear was not a shooter in our books. Very legal for harvest though.

We guess that it was probably a dry sow, and mature. But under 150lbs, so not very big.

Anything over 200lbs with out cubs most likely would get shot, 250lb-300lb and you'll know it immediately, those are what you want.

Nice video! I have to ask about the camera, what kind of camera is that?

There was a mix of two cameras, and evidence in the quality, to some degree.

The first part of crossing the creek and going up the hill was with my crappy little water proof point and shoot: Fuji XP50

The rest of the filming was done with a Cannon SX50, which does great. All was done on a tripod.

Of the final photos, all of them except of the one looking down the ridge we climb, was done with the SX50.

Seen any good sized bears any other days?

That little cinnamon bear had a nice coat. Those elk looked tasty as well haha. I'm guessing the big bear was too far for a shot, very nice bears and nice video
