Main stream giant

My buddie was side drifting out of the boat last weekend on the main stem umpqua and slayed them , including this giant native that was carefully released upon being caught. sry didn't get permission to post him in the picture so i cropped it out. TIGHT LINES!!

I know you said released unharmed but is his fingers in the gills?If so not cool if not my bad....yes very pretty fish for sure love that system and spend lots of time fishing it myself

Was just about to say the same thing mike! If handling a native or intending to release, never handle a fish in any way by the gills.even if you may not have touched the actual gills, it can still be risky/damaging to them....that is a beautiful fish.would be a great shame if something would happen to a fish like that due to a simple and common error...

Nice fish, I wouldn't suggest posting that on Ifish without your flame suit on...
