...because is was depressingly slow, we fished all morning and only had 20-25fish! pretty lame.. here's a few of the ones i took, went out with a friend Dan and he took all his own pics with his phone. again, i caught them all on the prototype jig from J&J, preformed awesome! i had one, as you can see from the picture on my 4 1/2 foot ugly stick was the best fight i had all day, bent that little thing in half! used a weightless lizard right over a bed! then i had one explode out of the water after a "flip in the bird" but i had to drag it over some rocks and it came OFF
was my first topwater bite of the year though! i can't wait for topwater action and to break out the ... wait for it... flyrod... well here's a few pics to see what y'all didn't miss out on

X2, on the Intimidator's comments. I used to fish the Long Tom for smallies, with Shakespeare Wonder Rods (the predecessors to the Ugly Sticks). FUN!

Usin that ugly stick sucked! I couldn't feel anything! Only reason I knew I had one was my line went zipping sideways! I don't think I could fish with that for more than a few minutes like I did lol. Bassdad, I may have to try and talk my wife into letting me get one, it's nice to have room to walk around on the deck and since that doesn't take up much room! Dan caught as many as I did maybe a couple more! I started out with 4 in a row then he started throwing a square bill crank and it was on for him. I always forget to count or lose track but we had a few... But it was quiet a bit slower than I was hoping
