Tuna is the only time I have seriously used the hand line. It's fun for sure. I used 200lbs tuna cord set up with a bungy. When the tuna hit that bungy would straighten out and the fish would come out of the water 100 feet behind the boat. Then it would be hand over hand pulling the tuna in. This was done while trolling at about 7mph. Albacore tuna off the Oregon coast. I still have the rigs but not the ocean boat.
