Casting Call
It's float fishing, just off the bottom with bait. egg, fly, or bead whatever works on chosen waters. Using multiple split shot for a vertical presentation to match current flow. The nice thing about center pinning (pinning) is that you can cover 100 plus yards of water in one cast also a pinning reel has NO DRAG, FREE SPOOL AND MENDING ONLY. All with a 13ft. plus rod. Downside is no dry fly for the hatch. I have given up all other styles of river fishing including equipment. Tony

Correct. It is just float fishing. Your hand is the drag. Would love to get into it. I don’t have the budget for it tho. Need a hand-me-down.

I didn’t mean “just”. The weight pattern is something I can doing with traditional gear.
