Barbless hooks?

Hey everyone

How are you dealing with the new(at least to me) barbless hooks for Salmon, Steelhead and Sturgeon? Do you crimp the barb for compliance or get new?
Also I see in the regulations that a treble hook is counted as a single hook. What do you do about barbs on treble hooks?

It is easier to drive a nail than a wedge. I advocate pinching barbs on all hooks.

You lose more fish on the Willy and Big C because of it...

I just pinch them. On trebles, I just pinch them.

My preferred way is to buy them barbless. It's not always possible and I pinch them down when I have to. I am currently experimenting with ways to improve catch rates now that we have to go barbless. I have had better success with a big 4/0 trailer than a smaller 3/0. Right now I am trying finesse wide gaps as well. I have lost fish on all the set ups though. Hope that helps.

I Usually just pinch unless I bought barbless for a reason.
