We saw our print and they were just like that to the detail.. and even about 2-2.5 inches in size.. at oxbow.. I called coyote

Looks like tracks of a wolverine or badger.

My estimation of 3-4" is based off my memory, which is subjective :). They could be a bit smaller but they weren't much smaller than that. Not having a lick of knowledge or experience on this topic, this is interesting. Thanks for weighing in OFF'ers

Dale has a very good point. Also if you compare the foliage in the picture to the track you only have two determinations:
1. A very large coyote
2. A wolf

Given how remote the area is, as described, it is unlikely that it is someone's dog. You can also see other tracks in the sand if you look closely giving you one more way to compare sizes.
