Well, sorry for the blunt response. I admit my second statement was irrelevant and over-the-top. I only replied because at first glance the original "joke" was not to my taste.
Cmon man I know that's a joke but its ****ing offensive. I'm sure you would be drunk if you got kicked off your homeland by some white guys and stuck in a pen.
haha right on thanks for the responses. Wasn't expecting the river to be in good condition, but that's alright the trip wasn't planned around the fishing, guess I'll have to come back another time.
I'm going for a backpacking trip in 1-2 weeks to the rogue. Going to hike from grave creek boat ramp to foster bar (illahe). Never been to the rogue nor do I know much about the fishery. Bringing a 5/6 weight fly rod, any residential trout in there? I know there are salmon and steelhead runs...
fishing is great by the campground below the damn before the first summer/fall rain when the waters super low you can wade from the bridge to the dam. but fishings still good after it rises, caught a 16" rainbow swinging a prince nymph last week right by the campground
yea i got to know the area just below the dam through the campground pretty well this summer. had plenty of 10+ fish days. rainbows and cutties. caught most of them on stimulator patterns and parachute adams. fish the slow water if you have time and kill some of dem pikeminnow
yea most browns here are german browns, spain has a good native population of browns too. brookies here are eastern european brooks, if they arent western brooks.
Fished leaburg lake today with a couple buddies and caught around 10-15 trout. Kept 2. Went down and checked out the dam and saw steelhead jumping everywhere. We were right next to the ladder on the bank and i was wondering if you could fish there or how far down you need to go. thanks.
