Leaburg Dam

Fished leaburg lake today with a couple buddies and caught around 10-15 trout. Kept 2. Went down and checked out the dam and saw steelhead jumping everywhere. We were right next to the ladder on the bank and i was wondering if you could fish there or how far down you need to go. thanks.

Gotta be 200 feet below. There are huge signs posted of where the deadline is.

those fish jumping below the dam are more than likely springers. more often than not, when you see a steelie jump on the mckenzie it has a hook in it's mouth
