    You snooze, you lose.

I live in Hood River, and am SO stoked to see this back open again. Unfortunately I haven't been able to make it out there since reopening. Years ago I would often (well, on weekday eve's) be solo out there on my tube, tossing caught fish to the Bald Eagles as they swoop down at me. Fun!

    Trolling motor on float tube?

Anybody know of DIY (or off-shelf) ways to attach a small trolling motor to the nose of a float tube? I've got a Cumberland tube. I think I've seen a pic somewhere of this being done... Seems doable with a small motorcycle battery. Just enough juice to get me back across the lake against the...

Going to Laurance Lake this weekend..

How was the trip? I'm sure you had plenty of company, as every body of water within 2-hours of Portland was packed this weekend. I drove my jeep all the way up to Badger Lake on Sat afternoon seeking small crowds.... even that little remote lake was overcrowded.

Nice report and great pics! I'm fairly new to Oregon fishing, but from what I've read... East Lake is at the top of my list!!

    Sunday flotilla?

Ok, fished Trillium for the 1st time today... (Badger Lake was Plan-A. Badger Lk Road is still snow-locked) launched tube at ~10am and joined the fleet/flotilla of other tubes, rowboats, SUP's. I counted ~18 when I launched. Is it like this every nice-weather weekend?? People were...

    Look out Trillium!!!

Nice post Coloradptroutman. I was at Trillium today with MY Cumberland tube. Only my 2nd time using it, and its WAY better than the old-school donut tube.

Berkley Power Eggs vs. Power Bait - lot's of information

Back when I used bait, I always preferred Powerbait. Never tried the eggs. Now I primarily use a fly under a clear bobber. Even my kids are old enough to use this technique now (used to always use PB for the kids).

    Saturday report June 15

Yup. That's the lake. Is there more than one Lost Lake in OR? Yeah, it was very fun once we got on that spot, and every cast had all 3 of us hooked-up. :)

    Saturday report June 15

Well, I must be doing something right. Took daughter and son out this time. Rental boat from the resort was equipped with a much-needed anchor, we were on the water by 0800. Rowed and rowed and rowed on over to a new spot I hadn't yet fished, but it looked good. The steady breeze out of the east...
