Careful with the crowd, they can be pretty rude and rough. A lot of fights happen on both the north and the south santiam. Pretty decent fishing though...
It looks like a brooder with the color it has. Does anyone know for sure if all hatchery trout are fin clipped? Detroit and big cliff have non-clipped fish that are tiny with white meat like planters have.

The salmon has a late but decent run of mainly natives but there are some hatchery. Go to three rivers. I saw that you wrote about the miami and the Kilchis, would you be able to tell me where there is some public access for fishing?
You can spear ocean rock fish anytime, you can only shoot those sucker/carp/squaw fish in lakes but not rivers. Oregon general state regulations say it is okay but any river regs say no spear fishing at all. I have checked it out because there are some rivers with many and huge suckers and carp.
Is there any good catfish or bass fishing starting up yet? Or is it gonna be another month or two? If anyone has any reports or tips (where, how, when) I would appreciate it a lot. I would be only fishing from the bank.
Where and what are wing dams? yea i didn't think i could make a living but thought i would camp out for a few days and give it a try. The first closest check in station is rainier, is there any wing dams close there.
