Anyone ever refinished an aluminium boat???

I think you still need a clear coat on it. Exposed aluminum will eventually start pitting. It looks like flakes of salt on it. It takes a lot longer then metal, but it does corrode. Specially if you are not using it much during the winter.

    Ramping up for Trillium

It is a great lake! Too bad it gets really crowded at times. I've seen some huge trophies there, 26"+. If it ever stops snowing, hopefully it will open up by the end of may. As soon as it thaws, I'll be hiking in to do some fishing. The holdovers go crazy right after it melts.

Benson Lake - where are the fish?

Yeah, that lake is way to shallow. I'm planning on taking the pontoon out when the water warms up a bit. My friend caught a 8lb bass from there in 98. I think it's still the record for that lake. Never seen much action from warm water species there though anymore. Any one hook any bass over...

    Frustrated fisherman.....

I had the craziest dream last night. I was salmon fishing with just a stick, line, and a spinner. Caught a coho, lost it, caught again three times by the shallow and lost it! Then I saw a school of at least 50 fish below me, so I ran to grab my pole. That's when I woke up. I guess I should call...

    Trout in the Sandy?

Fish the upper Sandy. Lots of trout up here and no limit on brook trout. Google miller rd, off of Hwy 26. Hike down Miller and stay to your left, on the bottom by a gravel pit, there is a nice hole where a lot of brookies hang out. Spinners work the best (Blue rooster tail always works)...

Berkley's Power Eggs...best thing since apple pie!!!

I'm a true believer on the eggs now. I use to look at them at the store and just laugh, thinking it was just another new way for them to take your money for less of a product. After reading about it here and watching some of my friends using it, I just had to try it, and now I'm hooked. it still...

Boy it sure feels good hooking on to some fish again. Took the kiddo out yesterday, to the Canby Pond. Used pink and green power eggs. It was our first time there, it's a great place for kids. He caught his limit in a little over an hour. He landed one 15" and a 14" fatties, all the others were...
