Ocean coho from jetties or the shore

Thanks! When I get home I'll take at look at these places. One more question. When do you think that they'll start showing up?

Ocean coho from jetties or the shore

I live in Portland and I want to fish where the fish are. No preference as far as where goes.

Ocean coho from jetties or the shore

I've seen videos on You Tube of guys fishing for Coho in the ocean from a jetty. The only problem (at least it's a problem dor me :) ) is that there is no mention as to WHERE they are. I know that people can be pretty tight lipped about these things but can anyone give me some hints? ;)

    Where are all the coho?

That's good to know. I would love to try out the Wilson but as it is time and money prevent me from doing so. The Sandy is a 20 minute drive to Dodge Park from my house hence all of my efforts have been concentrated there. If I can work out a trip to the Wilson I will. Thanks for the...

    Coho in the Molalla

Thank you. So we go up high or down low? I did find the interactive Wilson River map in my quest to land some coho.

First ever coho on the Sandy River

You can bet I will keep posting. Speaking of getting skunked, a short while after I caught and released this one, we moved up to the Garbage Hole and my wife thought she had a snag until the "snag" started to move upriver! She knows now to set the hook if you think it might be a fish!

    Thin Copper King Flutter Spoon

That's meant to be used in trolling. I've used them before from a row boat. Sweep the oars, it lifts the spoon, rest for a few seconds and the spoon "flutters" back down which looks like a dying baitfish. Very effective and much used on the great lakes. Plus it's great exercise!
