I went out yesterday, along with the other 50+ people who thought it was going to be hot. BZZZZ Wrong! I fished pretty much everywhere between Clemens down to Mike Bauer and only had one bite. I talked to a bunch of people and only heard one was caught at the hatchery and two keepers were caught...

Nice job man. I was out there today and it was over six feet. Talked to the guy checking licenses and he said it would be up to seven feet by tonight. I still tried but it was pointless. Hope it clears up soon.

As you can see in this post, it really depends on who you talk to. Hopefully with the rain it won't matter and you hook up wherever you go!

So as most of you know, the Alsea is expected to go from 2.5 feet to somewhere between 5 and 6 feet over the next couple of days. Does anybody know how long it will take for the river to clear up and be fishable after the big rains hit on Friday and Saturday?

Rivers/streams or ponds/lakes? I found fishing off the bottom was killer on stocked trout in a pond. Use a sliding egg sinker just barely large enough to get you on the bottom and then float some powerbait. Use the smallest gear possible.
