Sorry to say my father and I fished odell opening day. Water was 36 degree at the warmest spots. Lake had ice on about 25% of it. Fished from 600 to 1000 with no bites, seen no fish caught, and talked to nobody who caught any. Not many boats on water, maybe 20. Seen no schools, only marked...

When fishing for smallmouth I have gone strictly with a small 2-3 inch rapala that looks like a brown trout. Used to fish all the rubber worms and had hundreds of them. Haven't used any since I got onto the rapala

Hey thanks, I have never heard of those. Do you think it would be any help without using the 10# braid since I usually run bout 6#? Also do you need to also use an inline weight with one? Used divers a number of years ago fishing for silver but honestly can't remember if weight wad needed.

Yes you may be right. Although I was thinking of using in place of some or all of the weight needed to reach deeper water. I suppose I should try it and see how it works . Thanks for the reply

Was wondering if anyone has had any success using a dips diver or any other type diver while trolling for kokanee? Have not tried it yet but thought about adding it to the arsenal if anyone knows if they work or not. Do they maybe interfere with your rigging action

Was wondering if anyone could help. Would like to steer my kicker with the steering wheel. I have seen some hardware that mounts on back of both motors with a rod connecting the two. Pretty darn expensive!! Has anyone made up their own,and would you be willing to share your idea.
