Hey everyone, I haven't posted a ton lately (or at all) because I have been waiting to share good news. I landed a 33 inch (guessing somewhere around 22-26 lbs) hatchery springer today with a #4 purple Blue Fox spinner. It was a long fight as the fish kept getting into faster current. I landed him and did a little :dance::dance: when I saw there wasn't an adipose fin. It was the most fun I have had in some time, hope you guys enjoy the pictures!

Yeah, its an Okuma SST, it's actually the float drifting model, but whatever, it works for spinners too. I was using 12 lb UG main line tied directly on.

Right on man! Glad to see someone else likes landing the bigguns on light gear.
Nice fish . I lost one this afternoon that would of went 15 lbs chrome bright coastal chinook on steelhead spinning gear 10 lb test Went 1-3 today using Kodiaks Cooner's. I always seem to hook big fish on light tackle. I fished all morning with 80lb braid and 40lb leaders. Hooked two drift fishing in half hour go figure.
