Releasable nylon ties...

if you haven't discovered these and are into boating/fishing/crabbing/kayaking (this is OFF, who isn't?) then you might want to consider them, here is an example link:

http://www.cabletiesandmore.com/releasable-cable-ties.php

basically a wide nylon zip tie that you can release and zip again, over and over again....I keep long and short ones zipped all over my boats so when I need one, I just release it from where it is and use it where I need it. It is sort of like having strips of duct tape hanging all over the place..:D:D:D

cheers, roger

Thanks for the link Roger. Zip ties are extremely handy and ones that are reusable are a great idea.

Nice, Roger! Get the black ones because the white ones are degraded by UV when used outside.

Here's another trick I picked up recently. Instead of using rope or whatever (or cable ties?) you can get these giant twist ties. I use one for holding my net up against the in side of my boat.

yep, those twist ties work also.

boats are covered with places to put a zip or twist (cables, rails, wires...), it is so great having these nylon ties just zipped around something and waiting to be used, not stored somewhere in a bag that you need to locate and get into. just release (or un-twist) and use where needed. I have them all over my kayak to secure things....

Great ideas guys! Any idea if either are available in a store? That would be good, too. Thanks to both! :D
