N. Umpqua 1 In, 1 retured

Fished the N. Umpqua today. Fishing a dark blue Wiggle Wart, I had a hard hit. I ran 2 more colors and bang, fish on, with a silver and blue striped Wiggle Wart. Turned out to be a native, and after a nice fight, back she went. A little later, I tossed my favorite blue Bf spinner and bingo, fish on. This 30" buck was detoured from the hatchery to my cooler. What a beautiful day down there! Saw one more fish taken on an ugly bug. More people than I expected, but there is plenty of room on the North.

I love the N. Umpqua and that's a nice video! My wife grew up on a couple acres right on the N. Umpqua and her father was a fishing guide on there. It's a beautiful river!

Still fish moving up river! Had a friend come up from Sac. valley and catch this one the weekend before last. Saw a good handful of fish in the river and a surprising amount of pressure! :think: I guess they don't know they are catching fall chinook on the main!
