Looking for a Jack plate/mount for my boat.

Turns out my 15 hp Yamaha is just a little to long for my transom by just a couple of inches. The ventilation plate sits to low in the water creating a back splash. Anyone here know where I can buy something to get her mounted up a few inches. I live in Portland. Thanks in advance. I've looked online and can pick up a mini jack plate for 113.oo with shipping but would rather buy locally. Thanks.

sehwk! try using a kicker mount extention bracket that folds down when needed. Just shorten the linkage so that the long shaft cavitation plate sits where you need it to be. You can wind up only inches away from the boat transom. GL Tony

Bummer that it's a long shaft and your boat isn't.

I had a boat with a built-up transom to take a long shaft motor. It was a welded aluminum box that was bolted to the transom. But probably not worth for you since you can get the jack plate for $113 though.

Best,

I was hoping to buy local but it doesn't appear to be a stocked item locally.
