High vis line

Im using high vis line for my float set up but wanted to try out spinners.can i tie it straight to the high vis line or should i run a harder to see leader?

If the high visibility line is braid, I run a 8-10' bumper of a lower test monofilament. If I get snagged up and break off, I lose a couple feet of mono, and not those long 40-50 hunks of braid that you get caught up on. Fishing spinners and spoons you're not worried about the fish spooking seeing your line, so high visibility isn't an issue.

I toss hardware and use the high vis so i can see where my spoon is going. 2'-3' of 12# mono tied on with double uni and your all set. The weakest link is the knot on the hardware so your good to go without losing anything but your bling.

I would suggest giving the 5 turn surgeons knot a try for attaching a bumper line. Its very strong and the braid cannot dig into the mono/fluoro like other line to leader knots. We are finishing up a video on how to tie it now. Good luck.
