Fish/float trip on the Wilson 5/26/12

I am planning on taking my 6 year old niece out this Saturday on a float trip down the Wilson. Could anyone suggest a good put in and take out spot? 3 miles ish? 3 hour float or so.

Also, are there any fish to be had this time of year? Clearly more of a float trip than a fishing trip, but she would be ecstatic if we caught something.

You may consider one of lakes that are being stocked this week for the holiday weekend if you want a pretty darn good guarrantee of catching trout for your boy.
Northfork reservoir, Harriet, Timothy Meadows, Silver creek, etc. These are Willamette Zone and then there's the NW Zone too.
Some don't allow motors of any kind so check before making a decision.
