best place for Steel... Sandy or the mighty Clackamas

but I dont know if its better to launch my toon and kick it at the mouth
or to head up to CC

Man, launch way above Cedar, you can park your toon at some of the sweetest drifts in the state! Just dont fish from the toon!

I did the float from dodge to oxbow... It was a lil hairy and pretty long
is there a place before dodge to pull out?

The Sandy is a great river but the Clack has far more fish in it.

Im not sure. Ive only done this via raft, once, launching from a relatives pad near Brightwood, finally pulled out at Dodge, after what seemed like an eternal float.
