While Clackamas River winter steelhead are just now becoming a target for dedicated anglers, the river itself has other plans. And so will anglers who want to launch their boats at Carver Park. The launch and parking lot are both a field of silt and mud. Clackamas County Parks tells me it will be something of a Hurculean task to get it all cleared up. They might even call on the highway department for help. There is currently no forecast as to when it will reopen, but rest assured, the folks at the Parks department are on task.
The rest of the park didn't fare so well either, as shown in this image of the restroom.
