Advice: Pontoon from Dodge to L&C

Have a couple of 10ft pontoons and looking for a day trip on the Sandy. Ive seen a video or two of trips from Dodge down to L&C and it looks like a fairly tame trip. So far, Ive got two trips down the Umpqua, from Osprey down to Big K and a trip on the John Day from Service Creek to Twickingham.

Anyone have info, insights, or advice on oaring a couple of toons down from Dodge (or Dabny maybe) to L&C?

Of course, Im also looking to do some fishing, too, and appreciate any insights where to pull out to throw for somesummer steelhead or springers.

Even though this was Winter 2010, it is a good watch. This time of year things should be calm. You will see the pull outs & Beaches for a cast or two...................... Good Luck on your trip.

Do not forget to wear your PFD.

Waters certainly low especially up at Dodge. You'll likely have to drag the toons around some bars if you're not familiar with the deeper spots. Of note; be sure to stay right when you pass Oxbow park and come up on the island, there's a logjam of sweepers.
