You are exactly right about the double tips (accuracy and distance; although I do like the destroy and alternate names as well), they are suppose to give the rod a different action. I've always wondered about that rod (if it is a ploy or legit). Echo makes quality rods so I'm hesitant to think...

Hahaha, great stuff in this thread! Well, I have to admit I wear a lanyard made of braided sink tips (it saves from hiring a kid to carry around my wallets). Also, if you fish naked you usually don't have a problem with other people crowding your water...try it sometime!

Thanks guys (and gal!). The conditions were perfect, a little overcast (which doesn't happen much here) and it warmed up just enough in the afternoon for the BWO to hatch, so the fish were real active. I would have been pleased with that day in the spring, let alone January! We are enjoying it...
