I use something similar. It's a colorado blade, split ring and swivels. For the hook I use a dressed siwash. Canadians just call em "blades" I believe.
Definetly love the low, clear water. Picked up a couple nice fish last trip out. One fat hen was laying in the white water at the head of the drift just like summer steelhead do.
On my micro jigs I simply use saddle hackle feathers due to their size. They're easy to palmer and you can wrap two feathers at the same time creating an infinite amount of color patterns.

For steelhead I use a couple Berkley IM8 (8-12#) rods matched with Curado reels. Mainline is hi-vis power pro running to a swivel where I tie on a four foot leader of maxima ultragreen.
