God, this is just ruining my day. Used to be a favorite place to go to. Now, sounds like it's just populated by A$$hats and their ilk, and diseased fish. I'll try a call to F&W too. I don't go for folks not calling me back, a real pet peeve.

I've floated Barton to the Clackamette Park. Great ride, and I noted the two hazards noted above. Also, there were a few little spots where the water was too shallow to float, so I portaged around. After work, I put my boat in by OMSI or the Fire station under Hawthorne Bridge and paddle up...

Hmmm, next Wed morning might be worth a try.

+1. I'd be interested in hearing about that too. Long time ago, we walked up a path to the dam from the boat ramp at McIver Park (ramp to the right). Gotta do that again.

I caught a couple of trout out of that Lake. I'll miss it. Used to float my aquapod up there, basically the same boat as they rented. Shame it's gone. It was so close to town, and now I have to drive 2-3 times the distance.

You can always try Hagg Lake, which has just been stocked this week. Going to head out there tomorrow morning.
