Flyfishusa.com, I think they have a Ross fly start with rio mainstream floating line for $80. It's a good deal if your ballin on a budget. Check the Washington fly fishing classifieds. Lots of people selling gear.

Want to tie my own flies

I've been tying flies for a few years now and my vise that came with the tying kit i bought works great. It's not the best vise but it does what I need it to do. My son has one of those tying tool and vise kits, cost around $25, he does great tying flies on that.

Curious George has a fly question.

Spinning deer hair looks difficult, but any pattern tied on a hook smaller than 18 is hard for me. Dry or nymphs.

Which fly reel to buy? Would love some feedback!

I second the Ross fly start reel. For a newbie, it's a great reel at an affordable price.

    Switch setup

I have been looking into switch rods for awhile now and I would think your best bet for under $300 is cabelas or on line. Most switch set ups I have found are in the $500 range, for rod, reel and line. Cabelas had a switch rod, in the Lacey store, on sale for $175. Good luck in your search.
