Very cool. I did my first Wilson scouting trip this weekend. I need to break my Sandy River/Oxbow Park rut and try new water. I keep going back because I keep catching fish, but I need a change.
27", super bright Sandy Summer. It was a first cast fish for that hole.
Last weekend I took a friend and he got 2 within 10 minutes. He had never caught steelhead before, so I was letting him borrow my stuff, trying to get him addicted and it worked out. Here is video of that:
I was at Oxbow the 19th and saw a young boy (6 or so) land one from a drift boat. A bit later another drift boat landed one in the same spot. A third boat said they had one in the cooler, and a fly fisherman I ran into said he had released one earlier.
