New feature: best fly rivers in Oregon

good article! Although the Owyhee section is incorrect: "The best angling here is in the fall, and good fishing can continue through winter (weather allowing) and into the spring." Not true-some of the worst fishing is in the fall, and it's when the browns are spawning so not a great time to...

Willy smallmouth. My largest so far!

Sweet man! Great pics, have you fished George Rogers yet? It's a sick spot plenty of eager fish and with a kayak it could be deadly. You should try it out!

Suggestions for mountain lakes for next week

Diamond is a great lake and I would recommend it. I like your plan for bobber and bottom fishing but I would also try spinners or spoons. In the mornings the Spinners can produce many many more fish than powerbait. In my past at least ;) .. Good Luck!

    Steelhead fishing the lower Deschutes.

Wow! All in all sounded like a great day fishing. I also am itching to get out. A friend of mine is slaying all day on bobber and jigs... Drifting spinners (Blue Fox's) are killer especially blue, deep holes and slightly oxygenated water has always been a producer! Good luck next time you get out..

    Leaburg report from a newbie

Nice! Sounds like a good day fishing. Me, Sapo and another friend hit up Leaburg last year we tossed wolly buggers and had great success, at least a dozen 12-15 inch rainbows good fun for sure.

I would not imagine winters coming through in large amounts yet... ^^ Though summers can be found in the Sandy and the Clack if you have patience to work for them. Have fun Catching.

    Question: catfishing spots

Yes sir! Now it appears that the catfish are the only thriving specie in progress. The trout, carp, koi, and small amount of bluegills are gone.. Its a bummer.. Have fun fishing.
