Winter steelhead fishing tour or guide recommendations?

r_miller
Hello everyone – brand new to this forum.

I've very new to fishing for steelhead, and am the type of person who learns best by being out there with somebody who knows what they're doing, and can SHOW rather than tell.

My wife knows this, and because she is awesome has offered to buy me a weekend with a fishing guide or tour group!

Problem is that I don't have any idea how to choose from the offerings that are out there – thought I'd ask you guys if you had any personal recommendations.

Thanks!

I was thinking the Wilson, Nestucca, or Nehalem rivers – but I'm really open to any I can get to from the Portland area within an hour or two.

I have been out with Painters Guide service several times, on the Siletz, Alsea, yaquina, ocean and the bays for crabbing. My kiddos even made Kelly’s webpage!
