Great idea. Keeping those on the bottom? Never been to the lake before.

Steelhead are getting scarce at JCP. There still brooders in there. Getting them to hit is another story. Jig don't seem to work on them. Last 2 days its been power bait or worms. Spinners and spoons also worked early in the week.
Good Luck

You're the best, gramps. Hit many trout out there?

Do you think it's worth making the trip from the Salem area with a coils of friends?

I caught a brooder on a worm with a green corky, about a foot of leader yesterday, but took all day. I tried worm on bottom, power bait, kastermaster, was there 9 hours before I got a hit. Only saw 2 caught all day and 2 others lost. All were on power bait or worm.

Ok thanks.
When is the next time jcp is getting stocked?
Just talked to Roaring River Hatchery and they said no stocking of brooders this week. They said stocking will occur next week.

Tomorrow

I can only guess. Most likely between noon and 6pm. I will post tomorrow evening if and when they were planted. You can call Roaring River Hatchery (503) 394-2496 after 8am tomorrow, they might tell you where and when. Or call (971) 673-6000 and talk to a live person, they can tell you AFTER they have been stocked

JCP was stocked yesterday 1/13 with about 100 brooders. And they were hitting good on lures and fly's.
