Rookie steelhead fisherman on north Santiam in need of tips

Heading to the santiam river this weekend if someone can help me i need to know the hotspots and the rigs to use to catch me some fish. I hit up i believe it was packsaddle saw fish but was unsuccessful in catchinfg any. Please help me with any tips or places to fish this weekend.

White Jig head with about a 2-3" pink worm under float. Hit all the pockets behind the boulders at packsaddle. Im not sure how fishy it is from the bank there because of all the good pockets being to far out.

Alright bro I got the gear you recomended im probably goin to hit up under the gates bridge and packsaddle soon and see what happens thanks
