Can anyone tell me if there are warm water gamefish (crappie, bass, cats) in the ponds on the north end of Lyons (near the John Neal County Park)?

yes there are warm water fish in those ponds, and theres a nice trail around them. Theres normally not many people there, its kind of relaxing. I caught a nice bass there this time last year.

Sweet! I'll have to check it out, next time I'm up that way (which happens from time to time, during my travels at work).
Thank you.

Use jigs and you'll catch decent crappie.

Groovy man. I've got plenty of jigs.
I fished the Long Tom river a lot, as a kid, and caught bunches o' crappie with jigs. Now, there's a new place to investigate for a bucket of slabs!
Thanks!
