Looking for some location recommendations

Howdy all. I was hoping to get in some trout fishing the end of this month. My buddy and I just bought some Tenkara fly rods and wanted to try them out. Are there any streams you guys could recommend? Thanks in advance.

Yes Owens River in the Sierra Nevada just a bit of crawler and a split shot and you got big brownies! On a serious note what area are you fishing?

I live near Rock Creek and the Clackamas River. I'm not opposed to driving a bit for some fun. The tenkara rod is meant for small streams and I don't know how it would do on the Clack. I would be scared to hook into a steely and snap my rod.

When we go on our trip next week I will tell you some good places for a Tenkara set up, all within a few hours away!
