Hit the Molalla today....

SO, I had en event today in Molalla.....
drove there from Portland at about 6am...
stopped by Wagon wheel for a few casts.....
then after my event i hit up the trout pond by the football field....(not my sort of deal)
then feyer park....
then my "spot" I like to hit......had some nibbles but nothing to show for it.

Shooting for summer steel or spring nook....but was swinging my 5wt and really wanting anything...trout or above.

anyone having any luck out in them parts?

its high but the waters is clear. I have caught a few cutties but not many of those in the last few weeks.

a couple of "young tikes" today said they caught some "FAT toads" ...nooks....(native...so tossed back)
but I really I question that.
Maybe though.

But yeah the water looked great....not bad at all.

The hole at 211 seemed to be holding something...just couldn't hook it.
maybe I was tossing too big of hook.

good luck all...lets meet up sometime and catch some buggers.

Next time you want to fish the Molalla let me know. I haven't been out there since I stopped trying for winter steelhead last month. Guess I can play around for trout now though.

Monday I'm free after about 2pm. Wed I've got off but I'm tearing into my car after work Tuesday so I'm not sure if I'll get it all back together by Wed.

Some guys came by me on a boat and said they had hooked three nooks. but the all got OFF.
