Those methods are good for early season kokes too. I'll run the riggers at 15 with a 50 to 100 setback and top line further back early on. Keep the leaders 30 inches or more to keep a dodger from impairing the action of the plug, less if the lure has no action of its own. I'll run 12 inch leaders to hoochies which are my favorite.
