Fishing the Willamette around Corvallis

Hello I'm a new member. I've lived in the Corvallis-area for a good amount of time now but I haven't done much exploring around the city. I've floated the Willamette, from Crystal Lake to Hyak Park, a few times and caught the occasional small mouth and lots of squawfish. Some of the squawfish I've caught have pushed seven or eight pounds. However none of the smallies really have much size to them. Anyone know of some good spots on the Willamette in this area? I recently fished from the bank near Crystal Lake and did alright. The Mary's river looks inviting has anyone fished that?

Welcome aboard, RobFish! I used to live in Corvallis. The best place I found on the Willy was Irish Bend. I pulled a lot of small trout out there.
