Fish identification?

I’m probably showing how green I am here, but I have a lot of difficulty discerning different species of younger fish. Are there any resources that you would recommend for learning fish identification? Specifically fish that would inhabit small streams in Oregon?

attached are a few photos of today’s catch. I’d love some help identifying these if anyone knows what kind of fish they are.

Thanks!

I think the 3rd one is a pikeminnow (based on mouth size). I think the others are mix of peamouth and chiselmouth. I think picture 5 might be a peamouth (due to stripe) and the same for picture 2. I am guessing chiselmouth for 2 and 4.

These are all guesses based on no scientific training. There used to be a biologist on here (@ModestMan) and he would be able to just rattle off what they were but all I can say is that they are some kind of minnow :)

Thank you! I’ve never heard of peamouth or chiselmouth before. They were fun to catch, would have been even better on a lighter fly rod. Went back today to a slightly different stretch and caught slightly larger versions of each- had a great time!
