Fern Ridge

I would like to take my daughter to Fern Ridge to get some crappie or blue Gill, just something fun to catch. We will be fishing from the bank, does anyone have suggestions on where to go. I am not very familiar with fishing around Eugene. Thanks. Rob

If you can; go after the sun goes down. Fish OFF of, the boat docks at the marina. Shine a flashlight across, the surface. Use bobbers n' jigs; and fill your buckets!

P.S. On second thought, I learned about that many years ago. I'd suggest that you call ODFW, to be sure that night-time fishing for Crappie is allowed. I can't find anything, in the regs either way.

During daylight hours, I'd suggest the weedy areas in the larger cove, on the southside of Hwy. 126. And don't overlook tossing your OFFerings, under the bridges around the support structures.
