Easter gobbler

I stumbled across a "Suicide Turkey" in my yard early this morning. He stayed close enough that I had time to run and grab my gun and a shell, and sneak around the otherside of the house. When I came to the corner he kindly stretched his neck and posed. Why aren't the Steelhead ever nice to me like that?

I should add that I live in the hills, so no neighbors near enough to be bothered by the ruckous.

Haha. I don't think Turkeys that vaporize around here are ever missed. They are fun to see, but they wreak havoc in yards and gardens. There has been a second one gobbling in the thickets behind my shed this afternoon. I am considering going in to buy a second tag if they are going to make it this easy.
